EMT Qualifications for Employment
To be a good fit for Care First EMS, you must be a people person, willing to be hands-on with all patients. Additionally, you must:
- Have a minimum of EMT-B certification by Texas Department of State Health Services (TDSHS)
- Posess a valid driver’s license and good driving record
- Have a current CPR certification
- Be capable of obtaining City of Dallas permit
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Be willing to submit to a criminal background investigation and a drug screen
- Be able to lift at least 150 pounds
